newsreel #17 finger labyrinth walk

True pilgrimage changes lives
Whether we go halfway around the world
Or out to our own backyard

- From Sacred Journeys by Martin Palmer

We make pilgrimages all the time! This finger labyrinth walk will explore the opportunity for pilgrimage, not to some distant site but within the image the labyrinth.  We can experience the journey that we are on, day by day, as pilgrimage.

The art of pilgrimage calls us to slow down and awaken to the transformation of the ordinary into the sacred.

This “labyrinth pilgrimage” offers a journey to a place of heart and soul connection.

Join Ange on the labyrinth Sunday 28 November, 4-5pm (AEDT)

Angelo Virgona (Ange) is an educational consultant in Faith Formation and Spirituality. He has a rich experience in education. In secondary education Ange has held the positions of Religious Education Curriculum Coordinator and Faith Formation Leader. His various roles in Primary Education have included Principal, Deputy Principal, Religious Education Coordinator and Student Welfare Coordinator.

The labyrinth has woven its way into Ange’s vocation over the past 10 years. His visit to Chartres in 2012 was pivotal experience. Using the labyrinth became a daily encounter to find, make sense of, and discover fulfilment in personal life and work. The labyrinth is a daily pilgrimage.
