Christina will offer an update of the workshop she offered in 2019 at Together on the Path, the 3rd National ALN Gathering in Galong, NSW. At that event we began by walking the canvas Peace Labyrinth soon after the terrorist attacks on two mosques in Christchurch when 51 people tragically died. Christina will share her experience offering a Peace walk soon after the shootings. This time, restricted to the online space, we will begin with a hand labyrinth meditation reflecting on the boundaries and restrictions of recent lockdowns.
While our experiences have been challenging, many are taking deep internal journeys. The labyrinth can offer a safe place to do soul work. How might we as labyrinth keepers more effectively offer such a container in our own communities, after traumatic events? We will break into small conversation groups to devise a hypothetical labyrinth response. Bring your own hand labyrinth or download and print a classic or Chartres labyrinth design.
