St Clements Retreat and Conference Centre is at Galong which is near Binalong, about 75 mins drive from Canberra, just off Burley Griffin Way between Yass and Harden NSW. We wanted to continue to have a retreat style of gathering where we are nurtured by our sharing of each other's love of the Labyrinth.

Thursday 21 March Labyrinth Tour in Canberra The ACT & Region Labyrinth Network has organised a tour of some of the labyrinths in Canberra, including ones at the National Arboretum, the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture (ACCC) and Clare Holland House (hospice), on Thursday 21 March  prior to the Gathering. The tour will begin at 12 noon at the Arboretum. You can have lunch at the café in the Visitors’ Centre and then meet Mel at the labyrinth at 12.30. Transport can be arranged from Civic for the tour and then to Galong. For information on how to get to the Arboretum independently see here

Pre-Gathering Workshop Friday 22 March Mark Healy and Robin Clayfield will present a pre-Gathering workshop creating ceremonial /processional Labyrinths. Robin runs workshops especially for facilitators and is a great wise woman. Mark will be building labyrinths as part of this workshop. We welcome others to build temporary labyrinths in the grounds of St Clements also.

Car-pooling: Gathering participants in specific cities might want to car-pool and drive to Galong. It’s just off the Hume Highway between Yass and Gundagai, about 5 hrs from Sydney, and about 6 hrs from Melbourne. If you need support connecting with other participants contact Sue email ph 0421 356 414.

Flying or busing to Canberra: The ACT & Region Labyrinth Network will provide transport for people arriving for the Thursday Labyrinth tour in Canberra and then to Galong. A lift to Galong can also be arranged early Friday morning for people arriving in Canberra Thursday evening or very early Friday morning (ie before 8 am). 

If you fly into Canberra, you can catch a local bus to the centre of Canberra (Civic). This takes about 20 mins. You can then be collected from there, if we know to expect you. Cost $4.80 one-way.

Buses come to Canberra frequently from Sydney, Melbourne and NSW South Coast. For information and collection from the bus station when you arrive contact Sue email ph 0421 356 414. 

Bus to Galong from Canberra: From the central bus station of Canberra, West Row, coach departs to Galong at 09:37 from West Row, arrives Galong 11:35. Return from Galong at 15:35; arrive in Canberra West Row at 17:40. Click here for information.

Train: The Sydney-Melbourne train line passes nearby Galong; the stop to get off at is Harden. Lifts from Harden Station can be arranged if you tell us which train you will be on. The lift from Harden to Galong takes about 20 mins. The train times are: Sydney Central departing 07:32; arrive Harden 12:11; Harden dep 15:14; arr Syd Central 19:50. Accommodation options– please select preferred room type when you register. All rooms are subject to availability and based on first come first serve basis. 

  • Single room with shared bathroom
  • Shared room with shared bathroom (shared between 2 people, either in 2 single beds or a double/queen bed)
  • Shared room with ensuite (shared between 2 people, either in 2 single beds or a double/queen bed)
  • Single room with ensuite (1 person)  Extra $20 per night. Select number of night required when registering.

All linen including towels, and basic toiletries are provided. 

Meals for specific dietary needs can be prepared upon request. (Pease complete relevant section in registration form) However, please note the venue does not have an extensive menu for special diets so it is advisable to bring additional food to suit your specific needs, especially if vegetarian, vegan or gluten free. Plenty of fruit and vegetables will be available.

Bring all personal items including weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen, water bottles, hats, journal etc. Unfortunately camping is not permitted on the site, although campervans can park in the visitor parking area.

Cancellation & Refund terms

If you need to cancel, a full refund will be given if you cancel before Thursday 28 February, 50% refund if you cancel between Friday 1 March and Wed 13 March, no refund if you cancel after Thur 14 March.

If we need to cancel the event, all fees will be refunded, and attendees notified by email. We recommend that you use travel insurance, in case of unexpected events.
